Last night I started on a piece & couldn't decide on what to put on it. I thought about children, birds (of course), & then it came to me!! I decided to make a piece for Mother's Day. And I love the way it turned out. It is a collage on a 6x6" wrap around canvas, the Mother is sweetly holding the young child. There is a post card on the right hand side & it says, "Of all the gifts that I might give in one way or another, I know you'll treasure most these words, I love you, precious Mother." And it is dated November 16th, 1928. This piece is also listed on my etsy.
I hope each & everyone of you are having a GREAT EASTER! It is quite here today, just me the hubby & of course our 2 brat chihuahua's. Plus it's a little cold today, rained a little last night. We have just stayed in all day. Which has given me plenty of art time. Yeah! Thanks to all of you that stop by for a peek! I am going back to the art room for awhile. Hugs!!!!

Oh, this really did turn out beautifully. It has such a gentle, loving feel to it.
This is gorgeous... finishing the sides like you did really makes it special. Happy Easter!
This is a beautiful piece, Renea!
I'll see you when I get back from New Mexico! ...well, maybe not - maybe you'll be gone on your trip then.
Hugs,
Deborah

I love the way you did the sides of this piece. The scalloped top is perfect and I love, love, love the dangling hearts!

Very Pretty. You are making me wanna go grab a canvas and get busy.
I saw it in person and it is truly lovely. Great photograph of your art too. You gotta help me with that.
beautiful piece.
Renea,
thanks for the sweet comment on my blog. Your work is beautiful. You should not give up on soldering, your work would be so wonderful in a little soldered piece.
Have a sunny day,
Becky
that painting is just beautiful!
Renea, Is this your own quote? I came across it in a French-themed antique shop in San Diego, CA. I wanted to have a canvas done for my Mom with this quote over a photo I took. Is it ok for me to do that? I do not want to steal someone else's words without giving due credit. Please let me know. acsmith111179@yahoo.com
Thank you!
