As you all know my Granddaughter is due December 10th. When my daughter was pregnant with each of the boys I made them all a Christmas Stocking. There stockings were so cute, each one has a different Santa face stitched on it. So of course I have the make one for Kennedy my soon to be here Granddaughter. And I think some of you know how crazy us Grandmother's can be at times...well I think this is one of those times. I picked out the cutest stocking with the Sugarplum Fairy on it, but oh my gosh is it sooooo detailed. I think I must have been nuts @ the time! So I have been feverishly working on this stocking to have it done by Christmas. If you have ever made one of these then you know how time consuming they are, all week I have worked on this stocking 3-4 hours per night & this is all I have gotten done!
Each little teeny tiny piece has to be sequined, embroidered, appliqued & sometimes stuffed! And this stocking must have 1000+ pieces! I keep telling my Daughter-in-law that she will be in labor & I'll will be telling her to hang on I only have one more gingerbread man to sew on the stocking. Of course I would expect to get something thrown at me at this point! Ha! Well my dil is coming today as her baby shower is saturday. I can't wait, that will be so much fun. I would like to say Hi to Tiffany! Thanks for following, & if you have an email address you can send it to me! And also I would like to say thank you so much to all of you who take time out of your busy day to come & visit with me. You all mean so much to me. I love to read you comments. Hope you all are having a great week! Hugs***Renea

Wow, that stocking is quite an undertaking. It will be cherished forever. Your grandkids are lucky little munchkins!
Those dogs crack me up. Kind of a bummer that they're little jail birds now. *snicker*
Have a great day!

Poor doggies...they probably have to stay outside now!!
I love the stocking...it will be so CUTE! Keep at it and it will be worth it!
That stocking is fantastic! I hope you finish it in time....I'd hate for you to have to duck from flying objects!!
Yup, busted!! I'm sure they weren't very popular after the destruction of the window blinds. I'm picturing them locked in the basement or crated! It's amazing that you captured their misdeeds on film!!
This stocking is amazingly detailed but that sweet new baby will love it always. What a dear grandma you are!
You asked if I sold my artwork and the answer is no but I would love to make you anything anytime, my dear friend!! Hugs...
Wow soooo many pieces but O! how beautifully enchanting....Kennedy will love it and it will set the stage for her sweet Christmas dreams. What a wonderful Gram you are. I cant wait until I have grandchildren!

Hi Renea, Love the partner in crime story, don't you know they got in trouble.
The Christmas stocking is going to be so cute, but I know how much work is in them. I did one, and that was enough for me. My sister-in-law brought 4 over for her family and said in your spare time can you make these. I've learned to say no. She's not a sewer, so she had no idea how much work is put into them.
Had to catch up on your blog since, Ike. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers,
Bonnie
