Great Weekend

I would like to say to all of you a huge thank you, thank you for all your prayers for my hubby. I think things are finally turning the corner. My hubby is changing positions at work, which is great, and he joined the Air National Guard again. He was in the Air National Guard last year, got out & has regretted it ever since. So friday we drove to Ft. Worth & he was sworn in to the National Guard again!
We went to Uncle Julio's for lunch in Ft. Worth. If you have never been there you must go, their food is YUMMY! After lunch we drove from Ft. Worth to the lake. We stayed at the lake for the rest of the weekend. As some of you know I work on my blocks @ the lake. So I have made several sets of blocks. I made one set for a friend @ work that are of her family, the blocks are going to be a Christmas gift. Then I started a set for Les' boss, it is a set for a new little baby boy. And I also made a halloween set that I will put on etsy, and I made my Grandson's each a block for halloween. They all turned out so cute. The first set are the blocks for my Grandson's. Shh....it is a surprise!
This is the halloween set that I am going to put on etsy (hopefully) tonight. On the way home from the lake our 2 chihuahua's (Tinkerbelle & Pixie) actually sat in the backseat of the car for about 30 minutes. They never sit in the backseat they usually have to sit in my lap. So it was a nice break. So I took photos as proof! Ha! I found a treasure @ the lake this weekend. See the afghan blanket that Pixie is laying on? Well it belongs to my son. I thought that I had lost that blanket when he was a baby. His Great-Grandmother made it for him when he was born. I haven't seen it for years & to my surprise I saw it at the cabin mixed in with a lot of blankets. So I washed it & brought it home, I will give it to my daughter-in-law to keep for when they have a little boy!

I hope you all have a great week! Again thank you for all your prayers. Hugs***Renea

Congrats to your husband! How wonderful!

Those blocks are fantastic! They're putting me in the mood for Halloween!

Did that decoupaged box sell in your etsy shop? I hopped over to see it, but I think I'm too late. I hope it went to a good home!

I am still laughing at the photos of your dogs actually resting in the back seat for a full half hour! They look really comfortable! Makes me want to curl up on a pillow somewhere! Great block sets as always...each set is so different and so creative. Great news about your husband!
