Finally A New Post!

I am soooo excited! I started a new project Sunday & finished it tonight. I decided I wanted to make a purse with my art work. Well there was only 2 small problems, 1) I didn't have a sewing machine, 2) I haven't sewn anything in about 5-6 years! So I went shopping (as any good woman would do) & I found a sewing machine. Not very expensive, a Singer touch & sew. Next I came home & got busy, but let me tell you I had to rip out seams more than once, it was like my brain had forgotten how to put this thing together. I got about 1/2 of the purse made on Sunday, but with a lot of frustrations! Then I came home from work today, started working on the purse & it just all came together! And I love the outcome. Sorry I only have one photo, will try & take more photos tomorrow. I just wanted to get it posted! I want to make several more purses, but would like to know what all my blog friends think??? Do you like??? Let me know. Hugs to you all***Renea

Love it Renea-ao creative! Sewing is one of those things that can get rusty, but the more you sew the better it goes. Congrats on a new machine-what fun!

I think it looks great. I think that sewing is like bicycle riding, you never really forget how to do it, but it take practice and time to get good at it again. I am dealing with that and I have a "new-fangled futuristic" machine. Your purse makes me want to sew more. Yikes, how do we decide what project to do next????

Yes, I like!! What a cool idea. I hope you do show more photos and maybe tell how you did it. I'm so basic when it comes to sewing. I can do plain things but nothing too detailed.

Hi Renae~
WOW! What a creative purse you made! It looks like something that would be found in a high-end boutique.
I like how you addressed the problem (no sewing machine) and solved it (bought the sewing machine).
LOL My kind of thinking!

Carolyn :-)

Very cute Renea! I most certainly could not have done it. Your new machine - do you love it? I haven't sewn in thirty years and I want to get a machine to start again - something easy for this old lady.

Hugs,
Deborah

I love it but I have to tell your blog friends that it is so beautiful and original in person. I am sorry, I did not call yesterday afternoon to come and see the finished product, I fizzled out early and drove to Big Spring. Hugs sweetie. Great work.

Renea you did a great job on the purse. When projects don't go well it's sometimes just better to walk away and pick where you left off. Love your art!
